While the decision rests with the audience on who ultimately will win, it turns out that who gets to the stage is very much pre-planned. In 2015, the lead singer for Philadelphia-based band Low Cut Connie took to the group’s Facebook page to reveal that he had been approached to compete on the show and why he turned it down.
